Tell Me Three Things

How would you feel if your mom died? How would you feel if, after that, dad would marry another woman and you should move with her and her son?

Such a hard situation, isn't it?

Tell Me Three Things by Julie Buxbaum is a wonderful story that begins exactly with the left foot.

The protagonist is a sixteen-year-old girl called Jessie. She indeed has to move with her new step-mother and his rude son. After that, she is enrolled into an executive elite school where she cannot make friends and she cannot stop thinking about her old home in Chicago and how good it was to live there. She misses so much to live in Chicago, that she starts thinking to go back there even without Dad. However, one day, Jessie receives an e-mail from a person calling themselves a Somebody/Nobody. This person, offers to Jessie a unique possibility, helping her to adapt to the so complicated world of the Wood Valley High School.

Jessie accepts and there, the story begins for us.

  1. Sounds like a good read. I could not imagine how I would handle losing my mom. Unfortunately, many teens have lost a parent and do not know how to pick up the pieces.
